As a former track runner and competitive cheerleader, Molly is no stranger to hard work. She is from West Point, and graduated from VCU on an academic scholarship. She then went on to PT school at the Medical College of Virginia and began working at Tidewater Physical Therapy in 2000. After a stint in Richmond, she returned to Tidewater in 2009.

Molly became a physical therapist so she could work on Michael Jordon, but after her career got underway, she observed a more valuable purpose for her talents.

“I had a patient who lost his leg and incurred a brain injury,” Molly explains, he had a huge desire to walk. “His home PT and his prosthetist said he would never ambulate again. “But I believe everyone can return to what they perceive as a functional life. “He was so trusting of me and worked so hard. At the end he was able to walk down the aisle to get married. It was a privilege to be a part of his recovery.”

Molly enjoys working with challenging patients who just need that extra mental push to overcome fears and regain trust in their bodies. She is certified to perform dry needing and firmly believes in manual work for the best possible patient outcome.

She and her family live on the water and spend considerable time boating and fishing. Her favorite piece of advice: eat dessert first and live every day like it’s a gift.
