Dr. “Drew” Dahlgren is a Sports Medicine physician practicing with OrthoVirginia in Richmond, VA. Dr. Dahlgren completed his undergraduate training at Michigan State University then attended Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at MCV and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Michigan. He works with people of all ages to remain active and overcome both acute and chronic issues that get in the way of staying active.
Dr. Drew travels with USA Swimming as a National Team Physician and has recently served as the head team physician for the FINA Open Water Championships in Setubal, Portugal. Dr. Dahlgren has worked with USA Triathlon in a similar capacity and he trains and competes in local triathlons and road races as time permits. He is a level I USA Triathlon coach as well as a Youth and Junior Coach. Dr. Drew is a team physician for the University of Richmond and several local high schools and club teams. His passions include his family along with trying to help people lead healthier lifestyles.
